Square Shoulder Dread

The Martin style Dreadnaught guitar shape has been around since roughly 1915 and has been copied and reimagined by many, even Martin. In 1931 the guitar was reintroduced with the Martin X brace and two tone bars which has become the traditional bracing pattern, but not the only one, on most flat top guitars today. These guitars can be simply built, or appointed to a very high level. The wood choices do matter and will have an impact on overall tone.wood. This is a wonderful and time tested design.
